Our Goddess Oh our Goddess

Aloha guys. I'm new to writing. I started the mid-last year on this book & enjoyed it. I hope you all like it. Leave a comment, constructive or not & let me know your thoughts. Mahalo. ********************* The story you are reading is fictional, as are all the characters. Notice to the younger than eighteen crowds, this book contains explicit scenes and situations. The use of Hawaiian names, words, location names, and phrases shows where I am from, The Big Island of Hawaii. It is not to represent any facts or reality. While some readers know of the literal names, place names, and such, none of it has any significant purpose as the author has written the book off of pure imagination and familiarity of locations and phrases. The author gives no right to anyone to reproduce, copy or duplicate the story or its storyline. She does not permit to print or copy "The Goddess has Blessed Us" in any which way or form. Please enjoy the story... ************************** July 2022-I will be revising and editing slowly. The story will not change. Grammar, spelling and punctuations will hopefully be better suited for a more comfortable reading experience. ************************** Most days are a bore. My routine is, as such, a routine. I wake, I go to school, get back to the pack grounds and do as told until it’s bedtime. If you haven't figured it out, yes, I'm an omega. Today I thought it’d be no different. As I jumped off of the packs' school bus, a loud commotion stirred. Shouts, cheers and even growls were echoing in the air of the school's parking. Standing on the outskirt of the circled crowd, I see a confrontation between 3 she-wolves, drawing the attention of more than half the student body. Being me, I stay far from it. I am a person who avoids drama at all costs. I keep my head down steering clear of any kind of trouble or issue as possible. But this event had me curious about ways I had never known. As the growls, shouts and yelling continued, a thunderous booming growl suddenly echoed thru the parking lot. Then, utter silence. Advancing footsteps took to the crowd. A dominating voice bellowed, “who is responsible for this disorder & chaos?” I swallowed hard, I’ve heard this voice before, I knew who it was. Alpha Dom. He is the alpha of the Puna Moon wolf pack. His reputation is of the highest in the islands. He is very dominant. He didn't like disobedience and has little tolerance for bullshit. He's widely known to give no second chances. And as Alpha, he never lowers himself. If you defy him, you will face his wrath. As I stand there, I seem not to be able to leave. *why can’t I leave?* Most of the crowd had already calmly dispersed and all left were those who were at the center of the chaos. There stood three she-wolves, drooling & making a spectacle of themselves. But no one spoke. Alpha Dom was not taking their silence very well. In his Alpha voice, “Who is responsible? Answer me now!” he said. One of the females went to speak & as she did, the other two growled. “You two will not make a sound,” said Alpha Dom, looking at the two girls who barked. They bowed their heads & silenced themselves. “I apologize, Alpha. I was contesting these 2 for they spoke of you as theirs.” said one girl. “But you & I both know that’s a lie.” she went on saying. “You are mine.” If steam could have come out of his head, I was sure it would have. Alpha Dom looked at her in disgust. He then turned his attention to the other two she-wolves & yelled, “speak!” The second she-wolf spoke & said pretty much the same, so did the third. Alpha Dom looked as if he was about to grow a second head. “I am & never will be any of yours! If you continue with this delirious nonsense, I will banish you. This order is your one & only warning.” he said and walked away. His beta, gamma & captain looked at the three girls & glared at them, giving them a silent warning to stop their antics & disperse. As I stood there, I realized I now stood there all alone. The bell had rung and I was now late. Great! My mind was boggled, I am NEVER late. EVER. I’ve had a perfect record since I started attending this school at seven years old. Never tardy, never missed a class, never even went to the health room. And for no reason that I could find, I stood watching a stupid arguement. I ran like my life depended on it to homeroom. While skipping homeroom was ok. Missing my credited classes was a definite ‘No-Go.’ I was determined to leave this pack with high honors. I was determined to explore the world. Today's events so far is threatening my goals. As I entered the door to the school, I ran at top speeds. It didn't even register when I came face to face with a wall. Before I knew what happened, I was out like a light. Makana I awoke to whispers and a significant headache. I try to sit up, finding myself dizzy and uneasy. Discomfort had caused me to try to adjust my position. Just as I went to swing my legs off the bed, large hands reach for me as I start falling, catching me right before I fell off the bed. I look around & all is a blur. *geez, I must’ve hit that wall hard* “Whoa there, don’t move so fast. You ran into me pretty hard. You had to have been running top speed.” Says the gentlemen with the large hands. *ok, not a wall, just a gigantic man built of stone*. “Here, if you want to sit up, let me help.” I nodded, my surroundings still fuzzy to me. As I take his help, I hear, in a short distance, a loud voice shouting angrily. Not near me, but close enough to cause my heart rate to elevate. "Thank you," I say to the gentlman who is helping me. I take a good breath, acclimating to my surroundings, when I become stricken with immediate fear. Standing in front of me, holding my hand, is Beta Maika (‘my-ka”). I am reminded quickly of my place in the pack and I bow. I hurriedly apologize for my mistake, keeping my eyes focused on my toes. “Hey, no-why are you bowing? And why are you shaking?” Beta Maika asks. “You-you are an officer. Second in command. I never meant to disrespect you.” I say still trembling. Goddess could this day start off any harder? It wasn't a split second, *Laughter* Yep, he’s laughing at me.* Still focusing on my toes, “what is your name?” He asks. “Makana.” (‘mah-Kah-nah’) I reply in a mere whisper. “Gift? Hmm. That you are.” I hear him say. *What did he just say? What is happening? * Next thing I know, the yelling voice is heard, where I can now tell is right outside my room in the schools' health room wing. I was so confused, that my sole focus on my toes had become my life. I shivered when Beta Maika lift my chin gently, “what ever happens next, you need to stay quiet. Let me handle it. No matter what is said. Ok?” I nod. Returning my focus to my toes, zoning out all that I could. He was so soft when he spoke that it sent shivers down my spine. Like a CAT5 hurricane on Oklahoma's terrain, the door to my room flew open, crashing into the wall. I shivered in fear and start shaking, having no clue as to what is happening. Maika stepped in front of me, facing the person who came in. He raised his hands in the position to say, *I am no threat*. But anyone could feel the power radiating off of who entered. It was suffocating. And highly overwhelming. Tears start to fall as my shaking has now become borderline epileptic. Maika reaches his hand behind him and starts to rub my hands softly. It took me by surprise as warmth spread through me. I didn't know how but magically somehow, my hands were raised to the back of his shirt, holding onto it for dear life. I start calming down as each second passed. *huh, well, that's weird.* Maika starts to speak, breaking me out of my thoughts, “Dom, you are scaring her. Calm down.” *Wait, Dom? As in Alpha Dom? Why was he seething? Why was he here? Why did he burst into my room? Why is he so mad? Did I do something terrible? * As if reading my mind, Maika softly states, “Alpha Dom is not upset or mad at you. He is, at the moment, not thinking straight.” *whatever that means* Maika is still holding my hand behind his back and I was still wrapping my head around the fact that I found comfort in it. My shaking has calmed down, my tears have dried up. Silence filled the air. I don’t know how many seconds or minutes passed, but the silence was deafening. I had to get out of there. I'll wreak what ever discipline actions later, but right now this was all too much. I don’t know what possessed me to speak, but I blurted out, “I need to get to class. I’ve never missed a class in my entire life. It’s my senior year, I appologize but I plan on graduating with a spotless record.” I was answered with silence. So, I remove my hands from Maika’s hands, slowly making my way around him and notice why the silence. They were mind linking. Another thing I did not possess. The ability to be able to mindlink. I sigh. I did not want to bother them any more than I already had. So as steadily as I could, I walked to the chair at the corner of the room, which held my school bag. Reaching for my things, I am scared out of my skin when Maika is already there grabbing them for me. *I'm pretty sure confusion and fright is front & center on my face* But his smile cured what dread my face had shown. I couldn't resist to return the smile. A low growl resonated from behind us. As I turn to look at who was growling, I see Alpha Dom. I quirked my head in question for, no longer is the scene of an angry, possessed man. There stood a man who looked puzzled, torn and sadly something else I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Once again, I am reminded of my place in this life and Immediately bow my head. I apologize for my taking of his time and as I had done to the Beta, I focused on the floor below my feet. “There is no need to bow or apologize. It is I who should apologize for scaring you. That was not my intention.” A low, calm, warm voice spoke. When I looked up, it was the Alpha. *waaiitttt whaaaaat? Did he just apologize to me? A nobody?* I stammered in my thoughts, which caused me to fumble with words. So not knowing what to say or what to do, I nod, curtsy and hurry out of the room—leaving them & my school bag with them. *What the f**k just happened?*. Maika POV The day started with a bang for sure—first, the cat or she-wolf fight and now this. Never since I’ve been Beta of the Puna pack has it had drama like this. So consecutively. What is the moon Goddess doing? After setting those three delusional she-wolves in their place, Dom, myself, as well as our Gamma and our Head Captain walked into the school, stopping infront of our lockers. * Senior year is going to be epic*. I thought as I grabbed my next class text books. We had just closed our lockers when I watched as Dom stood motionless. “What’s wrong?” I ask. “I don’t know,” replies Dom. “But something is off.” We shrug it off, but just as I go to start walking to class, I feel a thud on my back. I turn to see an unconscious female at my feet. “MATE.” I whispered. As the world disappears around me, I kneel to pick her up. She’s light as a feather. Beautiful glimmering feather. I was rudely taken out of my revere, when a growl that I have never heard before roared thru the halls. I squeeze her tight to my chest to protect her from whoever is here to hurt her. When no physical threat was felt, I lift my head. What I saw caused my knees to weaken. I stare directly into Doms' intense eyes only to see the most f****d up thing ever possible. He, too, has a claim on her. “MATE.” *Moon Goddess, what have you done?” Both our Gamma and Captain stand there in total shock, unsure what to do or say. Until someone broke the silence, “What the f**k is happening?” Gamma Noah shouts. Captain Wayne just stood there, shock clearly evident. A warm breath on my chest broke my focus on what was happening before me. I look down only to realize I needed to get my mate to the health aid nurse. “Dom, I need to take her to the pack nurse. You can either command me to stop or allow me to get her help. She needs to be seen by the nurse now.” As if clearing a fog, Dom nods. I could see all his emotions in his eyes. But he was a big boy, he could figure it out. So without another wasted second, I run for the health room with this beautiful soul in my arms. Upon getting there I realized Dom had already mind linked the nurse. I was immediately led to a room, told to place her on the bed and step back. *Maika, step back. Let them check her.* I coaxed myself. It took all my strength to step away from her. But i knew they needed to make sure she was ok. So I did. The nurse & a zeta (the aide) looks her over, finalizing that she has a concussion and will most likely wake up feeling like she had drunk a whole lot of liquor. When will she wake? It is up to her. So I wait. Thirty minutes later..... My sensese were all on my mate. A mate that I had no clue what her name was. My ears perked when I heard her heart rate change. Brief panic rose as I look up from across the room. She was trying to sit up and failing. I ran forward just in time to grab her just as she was falling towards the floor. “Whoa there, don’t move so fast....” I spoke as soft and as gently as I could to not frighten her. I couldn’t help but beam at the sight of my mate. I also couldn’t help but notice that my wolf could not sense her wolf. *where is her wolf?* I help her sit up; using as much warmth as I could. I roll my eyes as I hear yelling, growling & apologies from the nurse down the hall. *cue eye roll* I can tell she hears the commotion in her response to the noise. She is startled by it. She felt afraid. Note to self: slap Dom for making my mate scared. I wasn't prepared for what happened next though. She is bowing. Not just bowing, but apologizing with fear laced in her voice. I was upset that she was afraid, but I found it funny. She doens't feel it. The bond. All I could do was laugh, yes I laughed. It was all so messed up. Dom, myself and this gorgeous mate of mine were in a situation. But I also laughed because she was the cutest thing I had ever seen. I sighed, because she will have to apologize to me. Nor would she ever bow again. “What’s your name?” I ask. Softly, she replies, “Makana.” *Oh, Moon Goddess, really a gift?* See her name; in Hawaiian means gift. How fitting it is for her because that is what she is. A beautiful short little brown-skinned girl, dark brown-eyed, long curly black hair, reaching her waist . She was curved in all the right areas of a gift. “Gift? That you are.” I whisper. I knew she heard as I heard her gulp at my comment. Bursting my bubble that I was in, I heard Dom using his Alpha voice, commanding the staff to show him where we were. I knew what was coming. I knew he'd come bursting through that door to find her. As I turn to Makana, I tell her to stay quiet & let me handle this. She nods as unfaltered fear surrounded her being. To not add fuel to the already inferno of a fire that the moon Goddess has put us in, I raise my hands in a non-threatening pose when Dom burst through the door like a damn wild animal. Dom seems to notice but never takes his eyes off Makana. I feel her fear. She is shaking as if she’s about to catch a seizure. Neither one of us spoke when I felt my shirt tug. I realized she had a death grip on the back of my shirt. I reach behind me to rub her hands, putting every ounce of comfort I could into the touch. Every second that pass, I felt her calm. *Thank you Goddess* Calmly I let Dom know that his actions have scared her. Hearing those words and now seeing her, he realizes what his actions had done and calms down. I then feel her fear again. She knows who is here, who came bursting through the door. I knew what she was probably thinking, so I reassured her, answering her unasked questions as sweetly as I could. Upon hearing my words, Dom comes out of the darkness he was in and realizes in depth what he has done. However, I could still sense his anger that it is me who is comforting her and not him. I could tell his main goal was Makana. And her well-being, but he was going about this all wrong. I then get pulled into a mind link from Dom. *Dom-what the f**k, Maika? If you don’t allow me to tend to my mate, I will kill you where you stand. *Me-you do that and she’ll never be yours. You have shaken her to the core, man. She is afraid of you already. Kill me in front of her and she’ll never be yours. *Dom-give her to me! Now! *Me-bro, calm the f**k down. You may be my alpha, but I am your crib mate first. We were born from 2 separate families but raised as brothers. We are 2 minutes apart in birth, so don’t try that alpha s**t with me. I will allow her to talk with you, against my mate bond judgment, but if she doesn't want to give her time. *Dom-I don’t know what is happening? Or know What the moon Goddess is doing? You have been & always will be my brother & Beta. But I cannot let this go. She is MINE! Now give her to me! I will kill you. *Me-No! She may be yours, but she mines as well. And like you, I will not let her go. If you think killing me will get you her heart, you can try. But I will not stand down. I will not hand her over quickly. Me-Listen, we were raised to trust Goddess & her plans. Right? To appreciate and honor her gifts. Not question them, not go against them. I am not happy about our situation, but I am trying to trust that she’s done this for a reason. I watch as Dom takes my words into concideration. It's something the both of us has always been able to do. Talk and resolve. I was so thankful that he was being civilized. Dom-When did you become so wise? *smirk* I get what you’re saying. And for the record, I don’t like it either. But I, too, trust our Goddess and will try to handle this better than I have so far. **Silence** Then as if someone threw ice water on me, I came out of the mind link noticing Makana walking towards her bag. I run for her grabbing it for her. Then, like an i***t, on cue, Dom lets out a growl. *didn't I just tell him he’s scaring her?* In a blink of an eye, Makana is now bowing, apologizing to Dom. *he is such a dumbass* I was taken back for like a coin flipped in the air, his demeanor changed. Frankly, I have no idea how to act. I've never seen it or heard it. My Alpha is apologizing to her. What the hell did I just witness? I had never seen it or heard of it. He's never wrong; therefore, he never apologizes. The following next second, she runs out the door, leaving Dom & myself senseless at the moment. It took all about 10 seconds for it to register, but we took off running behind her. Following her unique scent of ocean breeze & plumeria, we find ourselves at U-Building room 201.
