Tristan and Zara Calling as Mates

Chapter 1 : Flashback of my mum and dad

** Story was told by my daughter, Rohana.

The birds were chirping, alarm clock ringing off the hook and the chickens were making noise to the morning. It was the day my mum and dad (Zara and Tristan are their names.) Tristan was in the Alpha class with his group of friends talking and laughing. This was the first time he saw the new girl at school and he felt a strange desire to take her right now. His wolf Colt screamed mate in his head. Zara was a big nerd who uses big glasses and had bracers on her teeth. She didn’t look exceptionally well off either, her clothes looked like if it was passed on from generation to generation. Well let’s say the new girl at school was my mum. Tristan knew the day he saw her she was his mate, but he had power since his mum and dad was the Alpha and Luna of The Wolf Moon pack. The next day he dragged Zara into the janitor’s room opposite the counselor’s office and said, “I Tristan Beowulf rejects you Zara Lu-pin as my mate.”

I want a mate who has power, wealth and authority, not someone who doesn't have all these qualities. You don't look like you know what fashion is either. Just stay away from me at all times no matter if we are in the cafeteria, in the middle of the corridors, in the library doesn't matter what section and also any classes we attend together. But I am your mate, please don't reject me we are supposed to be together. Zara yes I am your mate but I don't want to be with you period. Tristan walked up to the most popular girl, Helena, at school and ravaged her lips and his hands slide up and down her back.

Zara felt a shocking pain that twisted inside her chest because of the rejection her mate had given to her. She cried till she vomit and dry heaved so badly till she was dehydrated. She didn’t care about the repercussions of the pack and how her mate was soon to be an Alpha off The Wolf Moon pack anymore. She thought Tristan would have protected and marked her. After school that day she walked home. The next day at school he started to bully her and saying you can never be my mate and kissed Lucy his best friend in front of her. Her wolf, Zelda popped into her mind and kept on saying keep the faith and strength and fight for our mate please. That was my wolf, Zelda mantra every single day. The last thing I told my wolf was to get out of my mind and stop trying to take control he doesn’t love us or want to be with us.

It was a dark and dismal afternoon and after school I had planned to cook dinner and help out my mum who was a nurse and had a late shift at the Wolf Moon Pack Medical School (W.M.P.M.S.). Mum, can I ask you a question “where did you go after dad rejected you?” I left to go to another state in Amsterdam. The pack there was really nice, very friendly and appreciative and it was also family based on my grandpa side of the family. They were notified by my … your grandma of what my mate had done to me. So they asked, “The Alpha and Luna which of course is my grandparents and your great grandparents if I could definitely leave the Wolf Moon Pack, and they definitely said, “Yes, just for a while”.

Both my parents were very furious with what Tristan had done to me and why had he rejected me. Dear, my mum said, “It’s because of our social status and where we live”. Let’s go pack your bags and suitcases and drop you off to the airport. On our way to the airport we had to pass Tristan’s house and I wasn’t sure if he saw the car passed either. What I did notice was there were a lot of people at his home on that very day partying. My mum and dad said, “Our goodbyes at the airport.” As I reached my destination in Amsterdam Airport I saw a young and attractive guy who was holding up a sign with my name, Zara Lu-pin. As I reached to the guy he asked, “Zara Lu-pin”, you’re grandparents said, "to bring you directly home."

Zara welcome to the Waxing Crescent Moon Pack. There are twenty members in this group, Alpha and Luna whom you already know. Then there is the Beta Christian and his wife Beta Lucy and daughter Sarah. Then there is Jacob the Omega. This is the rest of the pack members: Colton, Emily, Amaya, Lucas, Diana, Helena, Embry, Zeus, Cole, Ivory, Izzy, Jasper and Phoenix. Amaya and Colton are the kitchen cooks. Lucas, Colton and Emily are practically your cousins. Jasper and Phoenix do patrols and basically everyone pitches in to help around to protect the border by keeping the rogues out of our perimeter.

Days went by and my mum made friends in the new pack. Things were totally different with how everyone treated each other. Everyone knew that her mate had rejected her. They tried to be nice to her at all times. Amaya was the first to ask her what happened, she simply replied, "Tristan Beowulf, soon to be Alpha of the Wolf Moon Pack."
