Chapter 1: Lies Never Get Dusty

632 Words
“LADIIIIIIIIIIIES AND GENTLEMEEEEEEEEEEEN!” The sound of drums started, and flute and horns followed. People clapped. Fireworks burst in the night sky to colour its darkness. “WECOME TO OUR SHOW!” Everyone screamed with joy, seeing dragons soaring in the sky and breathing fire. “SIRKUS IS HERE ONE MORE TIME!” A man with bright yellow hair screamed his lungs out, and a turquoise light emanated from his body. A green-haired woman stood beside him. They were both covered with heavy make-up that made their faces snow white. They had a red ball over their noses. Their eyes were surrounded with colourful rhombus shapes. The man with yellow hair had a floating microphone following him as he climbed on top of the carriage. “AT YOUR SERVICE!” The carriage rolled slowly along the street, and people clapped excitedly from its left and right. “A ROUND OF APPLAUSE!” More claps. Vapours burst from the sides of the street. “Today, we have a special treat for all of our viewers across the universe!” A floating ship appeared out of the smoke, and ten humans were standing on top of it. “Today, humans will be you entertainers! Those ten humans that came from planet Earth will give you an unforgettable show!” It rained glitter, and the first female waved at the crowd with a wide grin. She had long brown hair, and blue veins appeared all over her skin. Everyone screamed and clapped in encouragement. A blue circle appeared under her feet, and a blue dragon flew out of it. Several blue circles formed afterwards. More dragons spawned, breathing out a blue fire and flying in front of the audience, roaring. “A big clap for UN! The Dragon Lady!” A man stood next to her, shirtless. He yelled, and a giant pink circle covered the floor. A peacock appeared from the circle and flew in the sky, making it rain feathers. Everyone gathered the feathers and stared at them in awe. “The Peacock Man!  TUNIN!” A woman with thick purple eyeliner around her eyes and a purple-painted body joined them, and purple fog fell upon everyone. She had a pipe that she smoked from time to time. The purple fog escaped from it. “The Fog Lady! TELATA!” The yellow-haired clapped and jumped in front of them. “I will be your host, and I have seven more humans to show to you. They’re all talented, extremely! Behold of this circus; it will bewitch you!” He stared at the cameras filming them and smiled widely. “You too can be one of us. We want you with us. Sirkus needs you. The world needs you! Join us!” The little boy gazed at the show from the screen in his city. His green eyes shined with a million stars. He grinned. “I want to join!” “SIRKUS NEEDS YOU! Train your mind and soul and become stronger! Defend the world with laughter! Magic and science meet here to create wonders! Join us in the circus academy! You are needed!” The boy jumped with joy. “Yes! I’m coming!” He laughed. “Now…” The seven remaining humans stepped on stage. “LET THE SHOOOOOOOOOOOW BEGIIIIIIIIIIIN! PUT YOUR HANDS UP!” Nets and ladders appeared in the sky, and the ten humans climbed the ladders. A man stared at them with closed eyes and a smile. He sat far from the location of the show, watching birds and dragons fly around in a carnival of lights and music. His smile widened as he stood up. He straightened his black shirt and pushed his black hair backwards. “Truly.” He tilted his head to the side, knowing that someone else was standing there. “Beautiful.” He chuckled. “My closed eyelids didn’t stop me from seeing their light.” “Sometimes…” The grey-haired standing next to him spoke. “Too much light can be blinding.” The man in black opened his eyes slightly, his gaze growing sly. “Lies never get dusty.” He shut his eyelids again and started walking away. “I look forward to see what the future holds.” He smirked. “If there’s any.”
