"Good morning class", Mrs Jones greeted the class as she entered
"Good morning ma'am", They all replied
Mrs Jones have been their homeroom teacher for the past three years now and she have always treat them as her children instead of her students which makes the students all like her and always want her in their class. It was Monday morning and she's having them in their first and second period which was every Monday, She teaches them Chemistry subject
"So I'm going to call the class register now, I hope you are all present in class", Mrs Jones said opening the register book in her front
"Where the f**k is Jason and Stella", Alex, one of the students whispered looking at the classroom door
"Alex is anything wrong", Mrs Jones ask as she notice him not concentrating
"Nothing ma'am", Alex replied smiling nervously
"Okay", Mrs Jones said as she start counting the students in the class
"Oh no", Alex thought as he sees her counting
"24.....25...25..." ,Mrs Jones counted repeating the figure 25 as she sees her students wasn't complete "Why are you all 25 instead of 27", She asked looking at her students and seeing that they were not answering, She knew they were aware they weren't complete in the first place "Alex", She called Alex who immediately stand up knowing he was in big trouble now
"Yes ma'am", Alex said as he stands up from his seat
"Where is Jason and Stella, I can't see them in class", Mrs Jones said adjusting her eye glasses on the bridge of her nose as she notice that those are the two absent, even though her students were 27 in number, she knew each and every one of them by their names and also know their parents which some other teacher on campus couldn't do
"I have no idea ma'am", Alex said looking down obviously lying
"You have no idea?", Mrs Jones ask knowing Alex was not telling the truth
"Yes ma'am", Alex replied not putting his head down
"Class, do you have any idea where Jason and Stella is?", She asked the whole class knowing how united they all are especially when it comes to when any of them is in trouble with her or any other teacher, they will stand up for the person
"We have no idea ma'am", The class chrously respond
"Alex for the very last time that I will be asking you, where is Jason and Stella", Mrs Jones said sternly as she was now getting angry because she knows Alex, Jason and Stella are very close to each other so definitely Alex will know where they are if the whole class don't because she was aware they don't keep things from each other
"I'm sorry ma'am, I really don't know anything except that they called me last night to join them at the club but I couldn't join them because my parents arrived from Australia yesterday and that was the last time I spoke to them", Alex explained
"What!, Club!", Mrs Jones exclaimed
"Sorry ma'am", Alex said not putting his head up while the class stay in silence, not even a pin can be heard and Alex know where it was leading to as Mrs Jones always warn them severally about going to clubs
"How many times do you want me to repeat myself? How many times have I warned you all about going to clubs and wandering around at night, Good student don't wander around at night, they stay at home to relax their brain for the next day activities", Mrs Jones explained "Now those two went against what I told you all, only God knows if they are fine or not"
"We are sorry ma'am",The whole class apologize
"There you are again, Supporting each other, Alex have you call them this morning", Mrs Jones ask looking at Alex
"No ma'am", Alex replied
"Then do that right now", Mrs Jones said pointing at him
"Yes ma'am", Alex said bringing our his phone from his pocket dialing Stella number but it wasn't available then he tried Jason's number. After several rings, Jason finally pick it up
"Hello", Jason said through the phone
"Hey Jas, where are you?", Alex ask but before Jason could reply Mrs Jones collect the phone from him
"I'm giving you and Stella thirty minutes to bring your ass right now to school or else you are both having detention for the rest of the week", Mrs Jones threatened
"Ye....Yes....Yes ma'am", Jason replied as he was stammering and end the call, Mrs Jones hand over Alex phone to him and start the class
After several minutes, Mrs Jones have finished teaching for the first period and was preparing to give the class a quick test for second period when Jason and Stella rushed in
"That's a proper way of saying good morning", Mrs Jones said looking at Jason and Stella who were panting
"We are sorry ma'am", They both said bowing their head
"Did you have fun at the club yesterday", Mrs Jones ask which surprised Jason and Stella how she knew they went to club before glancing at Alex who immediately put his head down as they both give him You are in big trouble look
"You don't have to look at Alex that way", Mrs Jones said noticing the look they were giving him
"We are sorry ma'am", They both said again
"Stop saying sorry for what you intentionally do, I'm not depriving you of having fun, you are all adults", She said facing the class "I just want you all to be safe, wandering at night won't do you any good at all, It causes harm"
"Yes ma'am", The whole class chrously respond
"I'm glad you both are okay", Mrs Jones said facing Jason and Stella
"Yes ma'am, Thank you ma'am", Jason and Stella said thinking their teacher easily forgives them
"Don't thank me yet because you are cleaning the whole class for this week", Mrs Jones said as she continue what she was doing before they both come in
"Ma'am", The two exclaimed as the whole class burst into laughter except Alex who knows he was in big trouble with his best friends and await for the fate they have for him
