"One milk shake for the cute kid coming up." Nikki announced as she places the order before the five year old by her. "There you go champ." "Thanks Nikki you're the best." He said exposing his two missing front teeth. "Hey." She whispered kneeling beside him. She looked around pretending the others might hear. "They'll take my powers if they hear you." The little boy laughed. His mother smiled at Nikki. "He likes you." She said honestly. "He's a cute little fella." Nikki responded messing with his hair. She stood up. "See you guys later." She had to go take other orders. She worked in this tiny café owned by her foster grandmother. She inherited it after her death. She thought it better if she didn't hire anyone else because the café was not as big and her profit was not enough to pay for the abominable box she lived in. Some may wonder where are her parents. She never knew them, never met them. She was all alone in this world. All she had was God. Apart from that she was proud of herself, at least she earned her money decently. She tried other jobs but of course who would hire a girl did not even see the front gates of any high school. This was her life. A simple 5'6 brunette mixed race with no future. But she didn't let her troubles stop her from being her. She had quite the mouth too. Not taking trash from anyone. She was so busy working she didn't notice the man in the corner watching her closely. "Here's your coffee sirs." She places five steaming cups of sugar free coffee in front of the men that looked like a million dollars. They were her richest costumers yet. Their perfume alone gave the store an entire scent. They looked intimidating as well. Rich people. As she was about to leave, one's voice stopped her. "Excuse me." She turned to meet all five men looking at her. "Yes?" "The coffee. It's not what we ordered." One of the men said. No. She disagreed. She never got an order wrong and she quite remember they order. "Yes. It is. I have it right here." She showed them her notepad. "You didn't hear right. Wouldn't blame you though. I mean look at this place." Another said examining the place in disgust. Uh uh. How dare he. She didn't force him to come here did she. How dare he look down on the place. "First, I didn't hear wrong. Second, I did not beg you to come to ' a place like this.' "Listen lady, we are probably the closest you'll get to a huge tip so just take this back and get us double cappuccino each." Roman's dominating voice said calmly from the corner when he had had enough. She looked at him in disbelief. "This is what you ordered. A culper........" She stopped herself when she realized she couldn't pronounce it. They laughed at her silliness. Where on earth did this one come from. Roman was intrigued. She was a keeper. "Kiddo what we ordered was the milky one. This is dark plain coffee." Oh. Her mistake. But did they have to laugh. And what on earth where they talking about. The only type of coffee was the type she had served. When they placed their order, she thought it was just another name for the normal coffee. But on well. They said it was the milky one so all she had to do was add milk. Plus, she had to be nice to them. They might leave her a huge tip if she is nice. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She put their coffee in her tray and went to the back to 'fix it." Roman continued to stare as she walked away. Damn those hips of hers. Her black curly hair bounced as she walked. Her hair like her light caramel skin looked dull. She should pay more attention to it. She looked like she needed help and for the first time in all his twenty-five years on earth, wanted to be a hero. Her hero. "Here you go." Her voice separated him from his thoughts. She placed something that was the complete opposite of what they wanted before them. He laughed internally. She was a character. "What is this?" Jonathan, his body guard asked angrily. "A culper......what you ordered." "It isn't." Roman's voice came out more intimidating than he had planned. Tired of their complains, she took Romans cup and took a huge gulp. It tasted milky enough in her mouth. Now look. She got some around the cup. She took her index rubbed it around the cup in attempt to clean. "It tastes amazing try it." She said not noticing the looked of pure disgust she got from them. "You dirty thing!” Roman exclaimed, losing his temper. He had quite the temper. His words knocked the lights out of her. "How dare you!' She blurted out unable to keep quiet. First, they insult her cafe now call her a thing. Oh no. She would not stand for that. Roman relaxed in his seat and scoffed. "How dare me? You should be thanking us for coming to this filth. But of course, an uneducated peasant like you will not understand the importance of people like us now would you?" He said calmly. How dare he. At this rate her heart was beating faster than it should. He was going to understand people in the neighborhood nicknamed her the 'wild one." Out of the blues, she jumped in him and started slapping his hot face.
