"Go now! I can take them on! The world needs you!"     A commanding voice roared from an unknown source. The grey skies obscuring my vision. Sturdy winds swept my clothes. Precipitation of every phase of matter plummeted the Earth, deafening the world around me. Amidst the chaos, a comforting white light appeared behind me. Glancing back to the grey world, scrunching the brows of my eyes as I focused at the illumination. I stepped into the light and the grey dissipated into white.     My eyes force themselves open, and I sat up. Shuffling my hands in every inch of skin in my body.     What was that?     An overwhelming feeling of deja vu hit me like a train. But, I shrugged the thought away and stood up from my bed. Stretching every joint, and bone that alleviated the crushing weight on my shoulders.      I stood in front of my bed, examining the room for my phone. My search halts to a stop as I find the device on my desk, next to my laptop. Its metal frame reflecting a harsh light from the window, making me squint my eyes. Diverting my gaze to the booted-up handheld.     5:00 AM     I remembered that I have to be at school before 7 AM. Yes I know, I have a weird school. The classes start at 7 and end at 4 in the afternoon, which is a pain to go through for a whole year. I sighed at the long day ahead of me once again, thrusting the phone in the pocket of my jeans as I head out to the wooden stairs.     I get hit with the salivating aroma of breakfast. My mouth watering at the feast that awaits me at the dining table. Instinctively, I darted down the stairs.     Crap!      And now I'm facing flat on the floor.     Damn socks! I push my socks away and rushed to the kitchen. And there you have it. Breakfast sprawled on the massive marble kitchen table, I took a seat at one of the ends of the table. Pondering on the thought about why this table was so grandiose. Only mom and I were living here, why the extra chairs?     A tap on my shoulder interrupted my train of thought.     "Sweetie, eat up, the food'll get cold" It was my mom. She's the greatest mother there is. Her caring aura emanated throughout the mansion and made this house feel like home. Even though I didn't have a dad, she took responsibility head-on. I don't know what she did for us to have such a lavish lifestyle. But, it's only fitting if I repay her sacrifices by studying hard.     I nodded and snatched the spoon and fork she put down in front of me as I was spacing out awhile ago.     Now, what am I going to eat.      I thought to myself as my eyes shifted from one dish to another.     After looking at every dish, I decided to get some sunny side-up eggs, dried fish, and mashed potatoes. My mouth was watering as the delicacies were on my plate. I took a scoop of mashed potato from my plate. As I was about to put it in my mouth, a knock boomed from the front door of the house. I gazed at my mom who also turned in the direction of the front door.     "I'm busy as of the moment dear, can you go and get it for me?" She smiled.      I nodded and a mysterious energy flowed through me. Didn't even notice I was in front of the door.     Weird.     I opened the door and there stood Mike, a towering guy just my age but built like a tank. His biceps flexing as he presumes a knocking-on-the-door position. To which I ogled over and took over my senses.     "Ha! Found you!" He exclaimed as I tried my best to find air from his intense hug.     "Wh-what? I've...always...been...here." My voice breathy as the oxygen has depleted from inside me.     He laughed in reply. Clutching the clothes I was wearing, stooping down my height and burying his face on my neck, feeling a smile forming from his mouth. He lets go but gripped my slender shoulders and stared at me and smiled. He scooted me to the side and he let himself in.     Mike has been my friend since I was a child. That makes it...     I lost count of how many years but it has been THAT long. He was there for almost every pivotal moment of my life. When my first tooth fell, when I first got my bike, when I fell said bike, every first he was there. I could never forget the day I came out to him. He smiled the whole time I awaited his reply that had words in it. But after a while, he hugged me. Telling me I was brave and assured me it won't affect our relationship. From then on, he would recommend some guys he knows but I always decline. Truly, a friendship worth a decade and counting.     I should stop talking Shakespearean, don't you think?     I chuckled at the memories and fled to the kitchen table, my plate filled with tasty delights fueling y pursuit. But, Mike sat on my chair with his bag underneath the table...and he's eating what's on my plate.     "Hey! You lil-" Sprinting towards him.     "You took too long, and I was starving." He flashed those pleading eyes stopping me dead at my tracks. His sparkling blue eyes staring into my soul. Five seconds and I got lost in the sea of his beauty. A heavenly choir singing in the background as we look at each other.     Mike laughed and continued to eat my food, snapping me back from the trance. I shook my head to forget, rolling my eyes and plopping down to the chair closest to him and still got the same dish. My mouth was doing a somersault, flavors mixing together satiating my every craving of my body. And it seems I wasn't the only one admiring the taste. Mike seems like he ascended Nirvana. His eyes closed the entire time, with the occasional moans that made me pause and choke on my food. I can't help but admire his stubble, he looks so goddamn hot. I stared at him as he moaned in pleasure, smiling from cheek-to-cheek at this handsome friend of mine. A sudden electricity pulsating through my hands.     "Hey, dude...what are you doing?"     My senses snapped back to reality as I felt my hand on his stubble, tickling my palm from the black spikes. My eyes widened and I retract my hand. My cheeks went red as I looked away from him. Mike laughed again and continued munching on his food. I heard a slight chuckle from my mother in the kitchen.     What is wrong with me? I massaged my hand and thought about the weirdness happening right now.     As we heartily satiate our stomachs, I saw Mike checking his phone. His eyes widened, and he gulped the food he was chewing and grabs the bag near his foot.     "Hey, we gotta go, we're gonna be late." Slinging his backpack on his shoulders.     A quizzical look formed on my face, I checked my phone to check the time.     Holy s**t! 6:30!     I grabbed my plate and used my spoon to slide all the remaining food into my mouth. A mental note chimed in my brain about my bag that was upstairs as I chewed my food. I turned my body to head upstairs only to meet my mother, holding my bag with a smile on her face.     "Jesus Christ!" My body jolting as I felt my whole run cold, almost choking on the food I swallowed.     "Here's your bag sweetie, go on now, you two are gonna be late." She looks at me and Mike, who has his backpack hanging from his broad shoulders, waiting for me. I stood up and grabbed my bag and kissed my mom on the cheek. Mike went ahead and opened the door for me, and we were standing on the grey pavement. Mike retrieved his car keys from his pocket and it lit up the sleek red car.     I don't know a lot about cars but this one looks awesome.     He opened the door for me once more. I looked at him and mouthed a thank-you as I climbed in and placed my bag on my lap. He emerged from the door of the driver's seat and turning the key, giving life to now roaring engine. A cool air hit my face from the AC with such comfort that my eyes turned heavy. Only to forced wide open by Mike's speed that surpassed supersonic.     I had to hold onto the handle of the car, my back glued to the seat. My heart was pumping so fast that I can feel it burst out of my chest from the rush of adrenaline. Clenching every fiber of my being     "Slow...down!" I scolded through grit teeth but Mike continued speed. I tried to look outside to see where we were but everything was white lines and a green background. I shut my eyes, I can't stomach it anymore, and hoped for the best that we get to school in one piece.     "We're here!"      A vigorous shaking knocked me back to reality. I squinted my eyes to examine the surroundings. Different cars of varying colors and styles parked in an orderly fashion. My head began to feel light and a cold shiver. A queasy feeling erupting in my stomach.      s**t, I'm gonna puke. Rushing to the nearest trash can, I deposited my breakfast.     Great.     I heard Mike dying from laughter behind me. I absconded towards him, I hit him with my puny fists, but he didn't even flinch or try to block my would-be attacks.     "Haha, real funny" I mocked him. I still felt vomit on my lips and mouth and it was annoying me. I walked towards the school's glass doors and heard Mike's footsteps behind me. He clutched the strap of his bag to his defined body hidden by the baggy hoodie he was wearing.      When did he have a clothes change? I swear he wore a muscle shirt awhile ago.     I shook the thought and saw him running ahead of me, opening the door. The gesture, opening the door for me, started when I came out to him when we were like 14 years old. Is he like...     No, C, don't think that. Maybe he just likes doing that. Weird reason but what if...     No, no, no. Nah, he can't be.   We walked the cold hallway, with glass trophy displays at every side displaying our reflections. In the distance, I saw the comfort room sign and pointed it out to him.      I placed my bag at my feet and turning the faucet. I heard Mike opening a stall door and closed it immediately after. I went on my business to wash my mouth. The water ice cold and jolted everything in my system awake. Splashing some water on my face, albeit a painful experience. I dried it up with some tissue. I looked up at the mirror and saw the same pale, baby-faced me, my small frame makes me and Mike polar opposites. I was wearing a sweater with jeans in a dark peach color. As I was judging myself in the mirror, I saw Mike opened the door, and went beside me to wash his hand. My eyes trailed from his curly brown hair and piercing blue eyes. His tanned skin, along with his physique was addicting, like the stubble I touched awhile ago.     "I know you wanna touch it, go ahead," Mike remarked whilst washing his hands.     I looked away and a blush seeped into my cheeks.     What is wrong with me today?     I looked back at the sink and grabbed my bag. I peeked beside me to see Mike gone, already by the door, opening it for me. My brows furrowed on how was he already there. I shrugged off the thought and walked through the doorway, with Mike shortly behind me.     The great thing was me and Mike was in the same class. Instead of going around to different classes for every subject. The teachers go to our classroom when it's their time.     Funny set-up, I know.     We went to our class and saw everyone doing their own thing, they don't even mind we were going inside.     We went to our chairs and placed our bags in front of us and sat down. I retrieved a book from my bag and went on the remaining time reading.     "Hey, what you reading?" Mike looking up from his phone, and staring at the book.     "Oh, it's about a guy who can control time and goes into this adventure with his friend." I geeked out a bit there but instead of Mike laughing at my geekiness. He chuckled and went on back looking at his phone. A smirk plastered on his face as his head hung down to scroll through his feed.     The school bell rang and the once noisy and war-like classroom. Turned into a haven of peace, like everyone's quiet all a sudden and back in their seats. The door opened with and from what I'm guessing is our adviser. A teacher but he or she manages the class for Homeroom like a second parent.     The teacher's heels clacked as she walked to the chalkboard. She grabbed a piece of chalk from the box near the teacher's table. White powder descends from her finger as she wrote on the blackboard.     "Good morning class, I am Ms. Carolina Spatz, and I am going to be your adviser for this school year. And I hope, we all get along." She flashed a smile for the class and placed her bag on the table.     "Now, since it's the first day of class." A momentary pause as she examines the class. "I am seeing unfamiliar faces, so, we're gonna have a little 'Introduce-Yourself'" she added.     Horrified looks from my classmates risen. Gasps rung inside the classroom     "How about...we start from the back." She points her finger at me.     Oh f**k.
