Ravens pov. Red and black is all I can remember. The red on all the wall's and cold floor. The black that keeps coming and going in my vision. There were screams all around me but I can't see where or who they were coming from. I feel like it's very important for me to remember but I can't. The last thing I remember is waking up in the forest, naked, and on the ground all alone. With only a first name that I have and a necklace, that's how I knew my name, with me. I don't know who I really am or what. Yes, I said what because I can change into different animals. I found that out the day after I woke up and was walking around the forest (still naked) trying to find out where I was. Out of nowhere a bear comes out from behind a large tree and started walking towards me. My instincts told me to run but my body froze on the spot. It wasn't until it started to run at me with the look of hunger in its eyes that I snapped out of my frozen state. I turned and ran as fast as my legs would go. The bear was coming towards me fast so I pushed myself harder as I ran. The bear was so close to me I could hear it's breathing. It was a few seconds from swinging its huge paw and slicing me down. But before it got the chance my mind somehow went to a fast and beautiful cheetah. The next thing I know a quick pain goes through my body for a second, I thought the bear had got me. But when the pain went away and I was still running I was scared and confused. I opened my eyes to see that the trees are going by so fast they look like a big green blur. I stop running when I didn't hear the bear behind me anymore and looked around to make sure. When I felt that it was gone I looked around then at myself. The first thing I notice was I was closer to the ground. Then I noticed I had paws not just any paws but cheetah paws. At first, I freaked out not knowing what to do but after I calmed myself down I started thinking. I thought maybe I'm a lab experiment then I thought maybe I was just born this way. Since the latter was just a bit more unscary I chose that. It's been three years since that happened and, in that time, I never stayed in one area in the forest I'm in. I also never left the safety of the forest. I've found out that I can also change into many different animals. The biggest animal I can change in into so far is a lion the smallest is a house cat with black fur and a little white mixed in. I got used to living in the forest. I build up six different little houses from the wood of fallen tree's all at least three miles apart. Three years is a long time so I had time to waste and build new homes. On a chilly day before the sun rises I get up early. I shift into a black panther, its one of my favorites. I don't worry about clothes because all I ware is the skin or fur of animals I kill and eat. I go for a run just to stretch out of my sleep mode. I must have gone farther than before because I can see the border of the forest. I slow down and realize I went at least seven miles over my usual running space. I got low to the ground and listened to the noise around me. I hard birds flying by, critters hurrying home, and the wind blowing through the trees. I sit and listen a little longer and then I hear the sound of a car staring. I look up and notice the sun is up and that people must be getting ready to start the day. I got to the border of the woods and peak out. I can see the grass goes a few feet then into many back yards of houses. I can see a street and some kids walk by talking, smiling, and playing with another. They look like they're on the way to school, they don't notice me. 'I don't remember going to school or having any friends at all.' I thought to myself. Most of the time these thoughts don't get to me. Not being able to remember anything about my past doesn't either. But since I've been around animals for so long I only just realize how lonely I really am. I love the animals I also love the freedom I have to shift anytime I want. But this thought has really brought my mood down. I look one last time before I go running back home to the closest house near me. With a sigh I run the little distance left to my home. When I get there, I look around and see a little bunny hopping its way to me. It has gray fur on its back side and white on its belly and feet and a fluffy puffball of white for the tale. I instantly know who it is. I named her Pie, it just fit for her, and she's kind of my only friend. She is the only animal that doesn't run away when I shift forms. I shift into my human form. I have black hair darker then night that stops near my neck, deep blue sea eyes, pink soft lips (I don't know if there kissable), a small skinny build not to skinny to where I look sick, feminine features to go with my small build and pale skin, a soft light voice and I only stand at about 5"5". I'm pretty short to be 18 years old (at least I think that's my age) and have almost no muscle at all. After I shift I look at Pie to see she's looking right at me. "Hi pie." I giggled at that because it rhymes. "How was your day today?" I asked her. She just looks at me before wiggling her cute little pink nose at me. Then she goes off a few feet away to a berry bush. I follow and see she's found blues berry, my favorite. "You found my favorite kind of berries." I say to her. "May I eat with you Pie?" I ask her with my puppy dog eyes. She looks at me for a few seconds then wiggled her nose at me again and goes back to eating. I take that as an invite and sit beside her and start to eat. After we're finished we walk into the house and I put on a skin and fur skirt I made. Pie goes and sits by the fur bed I have by the wall and waits for me. I start a fire a few feet away then go over to the fur bed with pie and we cuddle up to together then fall asleep with the warm fire. 'I hope someone comes looking for me soon.' Was my last thought before falling into a dreamless sleep.
