CHAPTER TWELVE Eric Crouse’s wife was understandably not happy to see Mackenzie again. After all, the last time Mackenzie had visited, her husband had been reduced to a sobbing mess. She didn’t even bother saying anything to Mackenzie when she answered the door. She simply walked away after giving Mackenzie a scowl, leaving the door open behind her. Having not been formally invited in, Mackenzie remained there on the stoop. A few moments later, Eric came to the door.
