CHAPTER TWENTY SIX Endi stood aboard one of the warships toward the side of the line, watching the progress of the fleet toward Ashton. Even he had to admit that it was impressive. Somehow, Sophia had managed to bring together clans from Ishjemme and beyond for her war, in a collection that looked as though it could sweep through almost any foe. Endi knew as well as anyone that appearances could be deceptive, though. “This is madness,” he whispered, but he kept it to a whisper. It was the kind of thing that could mean trouble for him.
