“Why do you want me to stay with you, Mr. Sylvester?” She gave me a confused look. It was quite natural after the way I manhandled her in front of her flatmates. In fact, I had closed all her avenues of going back to the apartment. I could sense her embarrassment. Strangely, it didn’t make me feel guilty. I was glad she had no other place to go! I wasn’t an evil man. Then why was I being a tool with her?
“Diego is giving my family a difficult time. He has locked himself in his room. He even refused to see me when I returned from work. So..” I couldn’t say the rest. I wanted her to stay with us for a few days until we both could get her out of our system for good.
“So you wanted to make amends to him? But wouldn’t it encourage him?” She looked confused.
