Chapter 16

1946 Worte

“What is?” Mrs. Hogo asked. “Checking the Mailbox for Dummies,” Grandpa Hogo growled before walking out. The older man walked down the sidewalk at a brisk pace muttering to himself. “Stupid kids… why do I waste my time? No one can do THAT on their own… if they can, they belong in the dirty movie industry,” he ranted as he crossed a side street intersection. “I’m getting too old for this.” Grandpa Hogo stopped in front of another house and stared at it for a minute before opening the mailbox and slipping the plain envelope inside. He saw there was mail in there and, looking up and down the street, pulled it out to look at it. “Bills… bills… dating service… bi… what the hell? Dating service?”
