Lek looked at the presents as she passed, longing to open them but wanting to do it with Craig. She could open the envelopes from the day before though and mark the amounts in her notebook as that was her money a fact that she had already established with Craig in the summer.
She dragged the silver-foil-wrapped crisp box out from under the bed, ripped it open and tipped its contents onto the duvet. She took her notebook from the cupboard and uncapped her pen. Then she thought that the job would be more fun with a companion, so she phoned Soom to come over.
