Chapter Twenty-Five On the first of December, we were on the outskirts of Baltimore, entering Bay Stream Military Academy in the middle of a snowstorm. Since chess isn’t really a spectator sport, only the twenty players, plus Miss Pompeii and Elvira Gulch, were on the bus.
