YEAR XXXIII AFTER CHRIST
The members of the Great Sanhedrin were gathered in the Square Stone Hall of the Temple of Jerusalem, discussing the laborious preparations for the Feast of Tabernacles. The ceremony would last eight days, during which the Temple would be animated by an endless coming and going of the faithful. They would have come from everywhere to pray and offer sacrifices, the success of the celebration and the maintenance of public order would have required all their commitment.
