Mr. Laurier sat at the table while Iris rushed into the kitchen to warm his dinner. Her heart galloped every time she was around Maddox. He was so unpredictable, Iris had no idea what he would demand from her. She just wanted to wrap up the work and rush back to the sanctity of her new home.
