Chapter Seventeen
Grizz's ear still rang from the tongue-lashing Mrs. Keaton had given them. Patty had gotten the worst of it. Grizz suspected the only reason he got off a smidge easy was that he truly was Mrs. Keaton's favorite amongst the three of them. And now, he truly was her child.
He could hear the happiness in Holly Keaton’s voice beneath the scolding. She appeared more upset that she hadn't been a part of either of her children's weddings. But Grizz promised to make up for it by letting her, Patty, and Brenda plan a double wedding this summer, as big and as grand as she pleased. Grizz couldn't say no to the woman who had helped raise him and showed him what real family looked like.
