They celebrated the turn of the year on the solstice at Kilderrick. The masons wished to be home in Carlisle for the Yule and their achievements had to be commemorated before they left.
The first two floors of Kilderrick’s tower were completed and the masons would return in the spring to continue the construction. Even now, there was so much more comfort than when Maximilian’s party had arrived.
