It’s been too long since I visited the desert realm. What I thought would be a quick flight takes up an entire day. The hours pass slowly. My back aches with the effort of flight. The fact that I haven’t slept in weeks makes my eyes sting and my mind wander. It’s sunset by the time I reach Sekhem village.
