CHAPTER 12 My mind prepared my soul for the worst. While I fully expected to see Zeta pierced by Big Man’s sword, or cut to shreds by Small Man’s daggers, instead what I saw was her dueling against the both of them using my sword. I didn’t know how she got to it in time. She grunted, and groaned, pivoted, and spun around. Her feet danced, and her legs moved forward and back. There was a rhythm to her movements, a beat as if she had a tempo playing inside her mind that only she could hear. I made it up onto my knees, one hand on the center of my chest.
