Darious locked gazes with the golden guardian, “An unspoken rule?”
“Yes,” Kyou responded just before he captured the crystal from Darious’ grasp and leapt back. His golden eyes glowed as he added, “No one makes Kyoko cry.”
Kyoko’s head jerked up to look at her guardians while Darious could only stare in amazement.
Kyou lifted his hand, palm outward toward the couple and let the briefest of smiles appear on his face. “Take care of her… we will be looking in on you from time to time.”
Kyoko shook her head frantically as Kyou’s palm started to glow. “No… Kyou…”
“We are your guardians but also guardians over the demon realm,” Kyou whispered before everything blazed into a blinding white light.
