SIXTEEN A SHADOW IN THE NIGHT The sound of waves crashing over the rocks that littered the bay on the Atlantic side of Skerries Rock mingled with the eerie rushing of the breeze hurrying in from the open ocean to form a dissonance of nature’s reverberation in our ears as the three of us stood looking out into the darkness, from the cliff top.
