Charlie didn’t want to admit it to herself, but she was incredibly nervous when her last class of the day, Botany, rolled around. It was the only class she had with Kire, and she hadn’t talked to him yet. During lunch, she hadn’t even bothered going into the cafeteria to see if Kire was going to want to sit with her or if any of the other Quintet gifted kids were going to be sitting together as well. Instead, she hung out on the bench in front of the greenhouse since the rain had finally let up. She had sat and appreciated the fresh air.
