The Unlikely Defenders all moaned and groaned after Albus cleaned up their mess and left them in the White Forest.
“So, we’re looking for a portal of some sort?” Kaos asked.
“On top of trying not to get killed by Rezin,” Charlie added, swallowing audibly.
“And before Yash destroys Albus’ realm and then finds his way here to destroy our realm,” Kire added. Already, Charlie thought the boy looked quite tired at the mere thought of what was to come.
And thought “Stop being such babies,” Trace said. “So it’s going to take a little bit more work than we thought it would.” He pulled his sword out of his scabbard and held it in his hand, the blade immediately bursting into flames which became a part of him. “As long as I get to fight some bad guys, I’m ready for it.”
