“Excellent, girls,” Brooke exclaimed, making the ‘cut-off’ motion with both hands. The sound rang through the room, much louder than anyone would have expected of sixteen teenagers, even if they were the best at a school specially designated for people with exceptional artistic talents. “The fall concert is going to be spectacular.”
“Miss Daniels,” Salome Jaramillo asked, raising her hand, “have you selected our contest music for this year?”
“I’ve got most of it,” Brooke replied. “We’ll be ready to start next week.”
“Good,” Salome replied. “Are we still going on that tour in January?”
“That’s the plan,” Brooke told her. “Tour in January, camp in March, and then UIL in April. State in the summer, I have no doubt.”
