“I think she's a wonderful person who regrets she hasn't always been herself. I also think she'd like to become better acquainted with her son and thus come to know herself. She took a terrible risk telling you all that. I'd like to see you respond with equal courage and strength. From what you told me, I think you already did—you asked for what you wanted and needed, eh? That can't have been easy. Finally, I think you two will become friends. I'm sure you will.”
Smiling, Flaming Arrow nodded, guessing his mate was right.
Someone knocked on the door.
She rose to answer it.
A voice Flaming Arrow couldn't hear replied.
“Who's here?” she asked in response, looking puzzled.
