Ross sat up and wildly glanced around him. His heart was pounding, and he rubbed the center of his chest. The dream had been incredibly vivid – it would have been nice if he could remember what it was about. “God, I hate dreams sometimes,” he groaned, rubbing his face. He groaned again when he registered the sound of water. Cursing under his breath, he looked at the spot next to him. It was empty except for his sweater. Scrambling to his feet, he scanned the cave. “Gem,” he called. His voice echoed in the cavernous space. Bending over, he scooped up his jacket and sweater and headed for the entrance to the cave.
