13 THE DEAL
They both woke up in the morning with hangovers, but neither wanted to be the first to admit it. They looked around the room and their clothes were everywhere. Craig got up naked and saw that Lek had nothing on either. She quickly reached for a towel as he walked over to the fridge for a bottle of cold mineral water.
As he took it back to the bed, Lek said:
“You not embarrass? Falang not embarrass?”
Craig assumed she was referring to having a hangover.
“No,” he said, “we are on holiday. You and me together, we on holiday together, start today. Last night, we have party because you come stay with me for one month. Do you want some cold water?”
She had not meant that.
Lek was not yet prepared to admit that she had drunken too much.
