Chapter 25When Jenny brought Joe home from school Neil was already in the house.
“You're early, is everything okay?” she asked.
“Fine,” he replied flatly. “I just needed peace to think.”
Recently, Neil had been working from home more frequently. Jenny was concerned, he was normally so sociable and although his work was mostly done by computer and phone, more often than not, he chose the environment of the company's office so he could interact on a personal basis with his colleagues.
