Chapter 19When Eddie arrived to open up his office at eight o'clock in the morning, he was surprised to find the door already unlocked and even more surprised to find Tom sitting at his desk and two security guards leaning on the counter drinking coffee.
“Aye, aye, what's all this then? Wives locked you out? I don't usually see the office boys in work so early.”
Tom immediately stood up. The slight of being referred to as an office boy wasn't lost on him. “Are those your keys, Eddie?” he asked pointing to the key ring Eddie had thrown down onto his desk.
“Keys for here, yes, not my house keys, why, what do you want with them? Is there a problem with one of the locks?”
“We've been carrying out an audit over the weekend and I'm afraid we've discovered some anomalies,” Tom began.
