The night went by uneventfully for Mathew and his men. As usual they enjoyed each other’s company as well as the wine and food Vincent had left out for them. They had all taken it in turns to doze while their colleagues kept watch, but under the circumstances most were too wired to relax enough to actually fall asleep. Therefore, by the morning most of them were completely exhausted. Once the night had passed, Tom ventured out to see if the sun had risen.
