Chapter Three The metallic behemoth spewed black smoke into the air making Lucia shudder. She'd only seen pictures of such machinery in books. In person the train resembled a slow moving water snake. Its blocky body wove across the steel tracks and pulled into the station. Automotives were relics from the twenty-first century. There hadn't been many innovations since that time.
