Aldus Hearn reached across the table, grabbing the wine bottle then sat back, pouring the amber-hued liquid into his goblet.
"Would you like some?" he asked Aubrey, sitting to his right.
"No, thank you," she replied.
He took a mouthful, savouring the taste, then swallowed, placing his goblet back onto the table.
The Kurathian Enchanter, Kiren-Jool, looked to the head of the table where Revi Bloom was reading over his notes.
"Are we ready to begin?" the Kurathian asked.
"Yes," added Albreda, "we've been waiting for some time. Are you ready, Master Bloom?"
In answer, the Life Mage looked up from his notes. "Yes," he said, "I believe I am."
He made a show of straightening his papers, then looked at the assembled mages.
