Chapter Twenty-Eight Pulling Charlie’s rocking chair out onto the porch, I sat down to watch the dark clouds rolling across the horizon and enjoy the cool breeze. It was stuffy in the house. It was hard to believe that it was winter. It felt more like spring. Charlie mentioned Texas weather was crazy like that. Ice storm one day and heat wave the next. I inhaled deeply.
