Chapter ThirtyMore than half his attention was with Riley, who he had sent back to help Bryan when it was taking too long and the approaching men were too close. Mason was hurt, but Alaric couldn't tell how badly. His stomach burned, like Mason's pain echoing through him. He opened his mouth to say something, but then there was an echoing bang and everything went black. All of his senses shut down. He was blind and deaf.
