30 STONEY CREEK Chelsea looked out the bedroom window at the activity in the back yard. She felt elated. It was mid-July, a beautiful warm day, and today she was witnessing the wedding of her daughter and acting as matron-of-honour for her mother’s nuptials, as well. It doesn’t get much better than this. Jax had built a wooden pathway from the back deck down onto the sandy beach in front of the lake, meeting up with a wooden platform for their wedding.
