8 A loud ruckus of Canada geese flying overhead drew Chelsea from sleep and back into the world of wakefulness. She rolled over and groaned. It was still early, and it would have been nice to sink lower into the bed and pull the covers up over her head. But the ache of a full bladder forced her out of bed, and she headed to the en suite, noting she was still fully dressed and had slept on top of the covers. By the time she relieved herself, a force-ten headache replaced the bladder ache. A splash of cold water over her face and a capful of mouthwash made her feel human of sorts. She pulled her hair back with one hand, leaned under the facet and washed down a couple of aspirins. Chelsea padded back to the bedroom and removed her clothes.
