Harriet glanced out the window. ‘He wanted to protect me. Fritz despised dogmatism and in this instance, he would have found Wilhelm’s doctrinaire attitude alarming. As do I. Fritz said that as the music got louder so did Wilhelm, and he thought they might get barred.’
