Chapter 2

Joanna is studying a Master of Research in Creative Arts at CQ University. Raised in New Zealand, Brisbane, Australia is now her home. Her inspiration for writing comes from peeling back the veneer people present to the rest of society in their quest to belong. Having interacted as a teacher with children, adolescents and their families for a number of years she was presented with a myriad of situations that deserved closer examination. Joanna loves writing stories that people can relate to; either because they have had a similar experience, or because they are interested in how others have coped in unusual situations.
