Chapter 6Dakota I take a deep breath of the outside air, taking in a large bowl of fresh air uncontaminated by death and pain. The morgue faces a green space with centenary trees and a multicolored flowerbed, creating in me a striking contrast between life and death. I like these colors, they remind me of joy, freedom, normality, everything that I aspire to, but that I would never have. I head for the lawn and put myself barefoot to take advantage of this welcome respite. Only my gaze is then drawn to a man leaning nonchalantly against a tree facing the morgue.
