CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE
After breakfast, Charlotte headed off to open the bookshop. She wanted to give Rosie and Trev a few minutes alone before his long drive back to River’s End. Time to ensure all was good between them again. Tonight, she’d help Rosie sort the files.

Charlotte let herself into the bookshop through the back door, disarming the alarm. Katrina and Bryce would drop by later sometime to look at the footage of Henry. Charlotte left the plastic sleeve behind the counter, beneath a book, but kept the speed stick in her pocket. Her intention was to hand both over with little comment. Rosie mentioned she’d give her lawyer a ring before coming to work and run through the state of things. Just in case.
