Chapter Nineteen Warmth surrounded him. He felt the heat radiating from his chest. There was lightness in his limbs and a tingling in his hands. Absent was the cold, steel hardness of a weapon. Sean waited for the panic to settle in. He was defenseless in a dark, hot place. But his heart was calm. The warmth moved up to his face. He felt it creep and crawl through the grooves of his cheek where the wound lay. In the nightmares, he never had the scar. Not until he woke up and ran his hand over his face. That was the way he knew he was out of the dream world and back to the harsh reality. The heat left his face and quickly migrated to his back.
