The full-scale briefing of the team was in progress when D.C.I. Oscar Agostini walked quietly into the squad room, waved at Ross to continue what he was saying and took a seat at the back of the room, not wanting to interrupt the briefing's progress. Andy Ross realised that his old friend and now boss would be getting plenty of heat from above to reach a conclusion to the case as fast as possible before the almost inevitable murder of a woman police officer added to their woes.
