Lorenzo stares at me for a long moment, and I'm scared that I've offended him. Oh no, what if my question makes him tie me to a tree again? My wrists throb at the mere thought of that.
“It's a long story," he tells me in a quiet voice.
“Well, we have time," I point out. “You don't know what you want to do with me yet, and I know that you aren't going to sleep because you're afraid that I'll escape when you fall asleep."
“Yes, I'll admit, I was thinking that," Lorenzo says.
“See? We have nothing else to do, and since we're both going to stay awake, we need something to talk about. And like I said, it's only fair that you tell me your story since I told you mine," I try to reason and convince him.
