I A long, long time ago… Pan sat across the desk from an excited talent agent, clutching a sacred demo tape as though both it and his 401K were directly linked. This was a regular ritual for him, it had been ever since he had signed his first artist. Once he had struck gold with those kids from England, everyone wanted him to listen to their music, hoping that he could pull some strings somewhere and get it done. Obviously, he could. He was Pan. That Jewish guy with the guitar who couldn"t hold a tune? Pan had been the one to get him started. That woman with the blonde hair, blinding teeth, and big breasts? Pan had been the one to get her away from soul and into country. Yes, he could spot talent like an archer firing on a target. That didn"t mean he could create something from nothing.
