CHAPTER THIRTY
Georgetown University, the next day
Remi rubbed her bloodshot eyes and stifled a yawn. It was never good form to yawn in front of the dean, even if he was no longer your dean since you had left the university and joined the FBI.
Ronald Hines, Dean of Arts and Sciences at Georgetown, smiled from across his desk. A window behind him looked out on the quad, where trees exploded with autumnal colors.
“Jetlag?” he asked.
“Is it so obvious?” Remi said with a smile.
Actually she was mostly over her jetlag, except that she had been pulling long hours examining the medallion they had retrieved from the catacombs.
He smiled back. “Yes. You should have told me you just got back from Europe when I asked you in.”
“It’s fine.”
