Darrell had thought about calling, but he knew this was the type of conversation they needed to have face-to-face. When Darrell pulled up at Beau’s house the morning after her live television interview, he hadn’t banked on seeing her husband. Her soon to be ex-husband he reminded himself —she’d announced they were getting a divorce on live television. She’d told the world that she was getting a divorce. Darrell wanted to hate the man for hurting her, for dashing her dreams. But he couldn’t. Philip Rosen walked out of the door with a suitcase in his hands. He looked as though he were creeping away in the dead of night. Abandoning his family. Darrell clenched his fists. Philip halted when he saw Darrell standing in his driveway. “I guess you’re the bastard my wife’s been cheating with.”
