“Are you enjoying your meal?” Darrell asked, as the smell of butter and sea filled the air. His date’s lobster was almost as big as her head. She held a tiny fork in one hand and a steak knife in the other. She dug in, but the crustacean fought back, slipping first to one side of the buttery dish then to the other as she tried to reel it in with her utensils. “I’ve never had lobster before,” she said. Darrell sat back and watched the show. It looked like he would get lucky tonight. He’d read up online about dating and dishes.
