George Thompson sat astride the visitor's chair in Ross's office and looked at the photograph of Peter Adamson that Ross had just given him. Thompson, the force's Press Liaison Officer had been asked to arrange an insertion in the local press and on local TV News bulletins, along the lines of, Have you seen this man?
“It's a good quality photo Andy. Should reproduce well in the press. How exactly do want me to present it to them? Wanted for Murder? Or maybe Wanted in connection with?”
“The second one George. We want to alert the public, but not totally terrify them. Make sure women in particular are warned off him.”
