Doctor Doug and nurse Cutler came into the room, just as Alexa's contraction had finished.
"Okay Alexa, I'm just going to take a look and see how far along you are." Nurse Cutler said, she lifted the sheet and started to examine her, causing Alexa to wince in pain.
"Okay Alexa, from the looks of it you are four centimetres dilated, so you are doing well. I need you to do your breathing, take a long deep breath in and let it out in small short breaths." Nurse Cutler said, Alexa nodded and did as she was told, she held my hand tightly and I dabbed her head again with the washcloth.
"AHHHHH! GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME NOW!" Alexa screamed, her face turning a darker shade of read.
