"It doesn't make sense," Theora whispered to herself.
"My lady?"
"Look at Andromea," she muttered to Breorion.
She felt him turn a bit to look, and when she glanced up, he had a slight frown on, but he was careful to redirect his eyes to the newly engaged couple.
"Intriguing indeed," he whispered. "But we should get in line to congratulate the couple; I can guarantee you Her Majesty will be upset with me if we don't."
For the next fifteen minutes, it was indeed a little ball of nobles going to congratulate the newly engaged couple, some making a big fuss of giving the loudest congratulations, and Theora realized this was like a giant game of chess, where the King and Queen had just been designated; everyone was in a hurry to make themselves known to the new key players of the Kingdom
